Strong Industry engagements for Responsible Consumption
Commitments on digital marketing, underage drinking, retail activities, and drink-driving made at Washington,D.C., USA ICAP Conference.
In an unprecedented engagement to public health, the world’s largest producers of beer, wine and spirits have agreed to a series of 10 actions in 5 key areas. These actions include: Reducing underage drinking by encouraging governments to enforce minimum purchase ages, strengthening and extending marketing codes, implementing a set of easy symbols to discourage harmful drinking, and creating guiding principles of responsible retailing. Pierre Pringuet, Vice-Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard, announced this major initiative in Washington, D.C. in the name of 13 CEOs of the leading companies in the industry, members of the International Center for Alcohol Policies.
