Pernod Ricard Senior Management Appointments, effective 1st July 200806/27/2008
Further to the appointments of Thierry Billot and Michel Bord, respectively as Deputy Managing Director in charge of Brands, and as Deputy Managing Director in charge of the Distribution Network (as announced on 26 June 2008), the following appointments will take place as of 1st of July 2008:
Laurent Lacassagne replaces Thierry Billot as Chairman & CEO Pernod Ricard Europe.
Jean-Christophe Coutures succeeds Laurent Lacassagne as Chairman & CEO Pernod Ricard Pacific.
Franck Lapeyre becomes President of Jinro Ballantines Company in Korea, replacing Jean- Christophe Coutures.
Paul-Robert Bouhier is appointed Managing Director Pernod Ricard Singapore, replacing Franck Lapeyre who has recently been named President Jinro Ballantine’s Company. In this capacity, Paul-Robert will also be responsible for the Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia markets.
Alain Barbet is appointed Chairman & CEO Pernod Ricard Americas, succeeding Michel Bord.
Paul Duffy replaces Alain Barbet as Chairman & CEO Pernod Ricard USA.
Alexandre Ricard succeeds Paul Duffy as Chairman & CEO Irish Distillers.
Thibault de Poutier becomes Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Asia Duty Free, replacing Alexandre Ricard.
Laurent Lacassagne, 47, is a graduate from HEC Business School. He joined the Group in 1988 as Internal Auditor at Pernod Ricard before being appointed Finance and Administration Director of Besserat de Bellefon, Cusenier and then SEGM (former name for Pernod Ricard Europe). In January 1997, he became Pernod Ricard Finance Director. In November 2003, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of Orlando Wyndham in Australia. Since February 2006, he has been Chairman & CEO, Pernod Ricard Pacific Region.
Jean-Christophe Coutures, 41, holds a MBA from ESCP Business School. He joined Pernod Ricard in 1997 as Business Analyst at CSR Pampryl and was subsequently appointed as VP Finance Pernod Ricard Asia in April 2000 and Chairman & CEO Pernod Ricard Korea in January 2005. Since February 2006, he has been President and Representative Director of Jinro Company Limited (JBC*) and Jinro Ballantines Import Company Limited (JBIC).
Franck Lapeyre, 41, graduated from ESCP Business School and joined the Group in April 1991. After having held various positions in Marketing and Export in Cusenier and in Pernod, he was appointed Marketing Director of Pernod Ricard Korea Distribution in February 1997. He became Development Director of Pernod Ricard Asia in March 2000 and then Commercial Director of Pernod Ricard Indo-Philippines in July 2002. He has been Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Singapore since February 2004.
Paul-Robert Bouhier, 39, graduated from HEC Business School (France). He joined the Group in 1995 as Brand Manager at Ricard, after three years in marketing at Unilever. In 1996, he became Marketing Manager of Ricard, before being appointed in 1999 as Marketing Director of CSR Pampryl Company, a Group affiliate in fruit juices and cider. CSR Pampryl merged with Orangina in 2000 and Paul Robert became the Marketing Strategy Director. In 2001, he returned to the Ricard Company as National On-premise Sales Director and in 2002 was appointed Marketing Director of the Ricard Company. Since January 2007 he is Marketing Director for Irish Distillers.
Alain Barbet, 50, has a diploma from the ESSEC Business School, and has followed the Senior Executive Programme of Columbia University. He entered the Group in 1999 in the Financial Department of Austin Nichols, today Pernod Ricard USA, becoming its Financial Director, before taking up also the position of Finance Director Pernod Ricard North America. In 2005, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Pernod Ricard USA. Since July 2006, he has been in his current position: Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard USA.
Paul Duffy, 42, BBS Trinity College, FCA, joined the Group as Assistant Finance Director Treasury / Planning of Irish Distillers Limited. In January 1996, he was appointed Financial Controller Irish Distillers Group, and became its Finance Director in March 1997. In January 2001 he was appointed Chairman & CEO of Pernod Ricard UK. Since May 2005, Paul has been Chairman & CEO of Irish Distillers Group.
Alexandre Ricard, 35, graduated from the ESCP Business School and the Wharton University of Pennsylvania (MA in International Studies and MBA in Finance Entrepreneurship). He joined the Group in 2003 as Audit & Business Development Manager of Pernod Ricard Holding Finance Direction and became, at the end of 2004, Finance and Administration Director of Irish Distillers. Since September 2006, he has been Managing Director of Pernod Ricard Asia Duty Free.
Thibault de Poutier, 49, who holds a Master in Economic Sciences, joined the Group in February 1983 as Merchandising Coordinator in SPBG (Group affiliate distributing Coca Cola). He held various positions in Marketing and Sales at Pernod Ricard and Ricard, where he was appointed Regional Sales Director – Toulouse in September 1993 and National On-premise Sales & Communications Director in March 1995. He became, in January 2002, Commercial Director of Martell before taking up his current position as Commercial Director of Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët in September 2005.
