16 Pernod Ricard brands awarded Double Gold Medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition

During the 2013 San Francisco World Spirits Competition conducted March 21-24, ABSOLUT ELYX won a Double Gold Medal and the title of Best Vodka. 16 brands from the Pernod Ricard portfolio were awarded with Double Gold Medals. Chivas Regal 18 Years Old and 25 Years Old also won Double Gold Medals in their respective categories. In total, the Group’s Premium brands received 45 medals. By winning the top awards, Pernod Ricard USA has been named "Importer of the Year”.
Other Pernod Ricard awarded brands include Aberlour, Becherovka, Beefeater (Best Gin award for Beefeater Dry Gin), Hiram Walker, Jameson, Kahlúa, Lot 40, Mama Walker’s, Midleton, Pine Creek, Olmeca, Pernod (Best Absinthe), Plymouth, Red Breast, Royal Salute, The Glenlivet and Wiser’s.
More than 1,400 products were judged this year in San Francisco, USA—the largest Competition in its 13-year history. Spirits have been evaluated by 33 judges from the industry, such as spirits experts, journalists, buyers, and consultants.
