As part of the commitment agreed upon last October at the ICAP International Conference: Global Actions in Washington, Pierre Pringuet, CEO of Pernod Ricard was today in Da-Nong, Vietnam, where ICAP has just expanded the pilot programme in its fight against drunk driving. The primary objective of the programme is to raise awareness and educate high-risk sections of the population (young drivers, truck drivers, etc.) about the dangers of alcohol consumption when driving. This was materialized by an agreement signed by local authorities, non-governmental organizations and Pernod Ricard, the official sponsor of this campaign. This initiative will be rolled out to seven major cities in Vietnam.

“We are immensely grateful to the many organizations that have come together with such goodwill to continue this public-private partnership to reduce harmful drinking. Events like this serve as testimonies to the impact of thoughtful cooperation between government agencies, NGOs and industry sponsors,” said Pierre Pringuet, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Pernod Ricard.

About the ICAP

ICAP has been recognized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC) as a non-governmental organization in Special Consultative Status.
