Promoting entrepreneurial spirit is one of the cornerstones of Pernod Ricard’s CSR platform. As a fundamental value shared by the Group’s employees, it is also promoted externally thanks to social entrepreneurship actions and project financing.
For Pernod Ricard, Entrepreneurial spirit means being willing and creative, as well as a visionary. It means knowing how to take initiative, seize opportunities and create value, for oneself, for local communities and for society at large.
To promote social entrepreneurship, Pernod Ricard encourages and finances organisations and individuals, allowing them to achieve their ambitions. The Group is also involved with local communities, so as to support the development of the economic fabric at a regional level.
Enhancing the skills of local communities
Out of respect for its partners and local communities, Pernod Ricard monitors the viability and economic growth of the regions where the Group is established. To do so, the Group and its subsidiaries set up programmes aimed at enhancing the skills of local populations.
Training and financing young entrepreneurs
In order to promote entrepreneurial spirit from university onwards, Pernod Ricard supports young people in Vietnam and Peru who have chosen a course of study aimed at entrepreneurship. After the course, grants may be given by the Group to help set up projects created by the students.
Participating in economic development through social actions
Pernod Ricard promotes entrepreneurial spirit and sets up social entrepreneurship actions to equip local communities with the tools required for their development. In regions where the Group is established, it seeks to improve health conditions. Pernod Ricard is thus very involved in the improvement of medical services in India.
