Since its creation, Pernod Ricard has been committed to preserving the environment. In 1966, Paul Ricard established the Oceanographic Institute on the island of Les Embiez, in the Var region. Original and visionary , this initiative embodies the Group’s commitment to nature and biodiversity.
Pernod Ricard’s environmental policy forms part of a wider “Quality-Safety-Environment” policy. On June 30, 2007, 62 of 104 production sites had obtained ISO 14001 certification. This is the international standard for environmental management systems. These sites account for almost 75% of the Group’s production volume.
