Belle Epoque Edition Premiere04/02/2014
Perrier-Jouët House of Champagne announced the release of the first ever ephemeral champagne cuvée Belle Epoque Edition Première. This limited edition, an ode the season of flowering, presented as the champagne to enjoy when spring arrives.
True to the philosophy of the House, the Cellar Master Hervé Deschamps drew his inspiration from the scents of the Maison Belle Epoque garden, the Perrier-Jouët historical residence. He has created a rare vintage, with a fruit-accented freshness giving attention to the Chardonnay, Perrier- Jouët’s grape of choice.
Hervé Deschamps said: “The Belle Epoque Edition Première cuvée is the unique expression of a vintage champagne, one that is to taste exclusively during spring. Floral, stylish and diamond-cut, the champagne echoes the excellence of the Perrier-Jouët terroir, and delicacy of the Chardonnay, the House’s elected grape.”
The Belle Epoque Edition Première cuvée is blended from Chardonnay Grands Crus to which a small percentage of Pinot Noir is added, giving this vintage wine a pale pink hue.
Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Edition Première is available in limited quantities and from wine merchants of Perrier-Jouët’s principal distribution markets.
