On 15 October 2016, Martell announced the creation of the Martell corporate foundation, which will be based at the historic Gâtebourse building in Cognac.
"By creating a corporate foundation in the very heart of its territory, Martell is strengthening its local roots and taking up a new challenge, that of promoting culture, knowledge, and the arts while simultaneously sharing our values of excellence, generosity, and convivialité with a wide audience both in France and abroad", - César Giron, CEO of Martell Mumm Perrier-Jouët.
On 15 October 2016, Martell announced the creation of the Martell corporate foundation, which will be based at the historic Gâtebourse building in Cognac. As a cultural and multi-disciplinary organisation, the foundation is a natural extension of Martell's tradition of collaboration and patronage and was created to generate dialogue between its heritage and artists from all over the world.
This new space dedicated to discovery and experimentation is already offering its first exhibition, scheduled to run from 15 October 2016 to 31 January 2017, with an in-situ work commissioned from French artist Vincent Lamouroux. This immersive piece, which sprawls across more than 600 m², offers a first taste of the future foundation's cultural line-up.
The Martell corporate foundation's full 6,000 m² space will be accessible in 2020/2021.
