Kahlúa launches Kahlúa Midnight


Kahlúa revitalizes the brand by expanding with Kahlúa Midnight, a 70 proof blend of rum and black coffee liqueur.


Kahlua Midnight makes its debut in bars and retailers nationwide. This creation is a mixture of smooth rum mixed with strong black coffee, intended to be served chilled as a shot.
“Kalhua Midnight is a huge step forward for the brand. We wanted to create a strong product that not only tasted amazing, but has the ability to elevate the social experience of a night out with friends,” said Michelle Sanders, Brand Director for Kahlua. “

This is a twist for Kahlua, the number one coffee liqueur in the world. The taste of Kahlua Midnight is smooth, bold and just a tad sweet, setting it apart from the standard coffee liqueurs on the market. With the growing consumer trend toward coffee-flavored products, Kahlua sees an opportunity to promote its own approach with Kahlua Midnight, followed by a fresh orange slice.

Kahlua Midnight is promoted with the campaign, "It's Midnight Somewhere”. The launch party, organized on 12/12/2012, has been followed by 400 000 consumers on social media.
