Absolut invites consumers to dance the year away with a 20+hr global live stream across multiple time zones on nye 2020

In its latest step towards a more inclusive world, as part of the ‘It’s in our Spirit’ campaign, the UK’s no.1 premium vodka Absolut, has teamed up with the world’s largest electronic music platform Beatport, to deliver a global celebration connecting the world on New Year’s Eve

In its latest step towards a more inclusive world, as part of the ‘It’s in our Spirit’ campaign, the UK’s no.1 premium vodka[1] Absolut, has teamed up with the world’s largest electronic music platform Beatport, to deliver a global celebration connecting the world on New Year’s Eve. Absolut x Beatport NYE 2020 will be an interactive 20+ hour live stream celebrating the New Year in multiple time zones across the globe, featuring 15 of the most exciting DJs in the world broadcasting from their homes, studios or iconic locations, before passing the turntables to the next city via back-to-back sets.

Absolut x Beatport NYE 2020 kicks off in Australia, and the virtual event will be streamed via Absolut’s website and Facebook page as well as across all Beatport’s channels, including YouTube, Twitch and Facebook. From Melbourne to Miami, London to Los Angeles, and New Delhi to Dubai, Absolut and Beatport are connecting the world through music, celebrating the turning of the clock and the end of a challenging year with sets from dance floor legend Carl Cox, and electronic artists including Jamie Jones, Patrick Topping and Jaguar. To drive real-time attendee engagement, live chat forums will run through Twitch offering merchandise giveaways, with call-outs and requests to toast viewers fed through to DJs, and user-content such as dance-offs and costumes will be edited into streams, ensuring viewers feel part of a global community, celebrating together, in one house. Absolut will also be offering pre-batched cocktails for consumers to purchase ahead of NYE through a virtual bar section on the Absolut UK website, taking the hassle out of creating drinks on the night.

Social content amplifying the live stream event will run from 21st December across Absolut UK social media channels to drive engagement, and individual DJ sets will also be available to view through video and audio on-demand services post-event.
