Creativity as community
Since Pernod Ricard’s foundation in 1975, we’ve intrinsically believed that art is meant to be shared. The Fondation Pernod Ricard conveys this mission and fosters the Group’s raison d’être as createurs de convivialité—creators of conviviality. Art is convivial by its very nature: it galvanizes discussions, debates, opinions, and reflections.
Complementary to our Fondation, Pernod Ricard’s corporate philanthropy enables us to share our passion for artistry and innovation with the largest possible audience, rooted in a long-term perspective and an international scope
Fondation Pernod Ricard
Located at Pernod Ricard’s global flagship in Paris, Fondation Pernod Ricard is a multidisciplinary art space located in a sprawling public courtyard; it is open to all and free of charge.
The artistic program
Since its creation in 1998, the Fondation operates as a platform for showcasing artists, highlighting the emerging contemporary scene both within France and at a global scale. It’s an inclusive space for everyone with a rich programme of conferences, performances, and temporary installations. The Fondation encompasses a main exhibition space, a bookstore, an auditorium, and an all-day café (managed by La Pantruchoise).
The Fondation Pernod Ricard has featured more than 1000 artists, invited by 250 curators, as part of the 150 exhibitions since its debut. Instead of being tethered to a permanent collection, the Foundation’s identity is constantly reshaped and renewed by a stream of interdisciplinary figures—artists, curators, authors, and intellectuals—who animate it in fresh ways.
International artistic residency program
In 2023, Pernod Ricard partnered with l'École des Arts Décoratifs - PSL (The School of Decorative Arts) to create an international programme of artistic commission residencies.
The artistic commission is dedicated to young graduates in illustration, offering the successful candidates a two-month residency to three countries where Pernod Ricard operates.
The artists applied for their country of choice and from the numerous applications reviewed by a jury, three young graduates were selected.
In 2024, Mathilde Leroy traveled to India, Salomé Perez to France and Thomas Trichet went to Mexico. Their designs produced with local teams, production sites and brand houses are presented in the annual report.

Centre Pompidou
Pernod Ricard has established close ties with leading cultural institutions in France and around the world. Most notably we have shown longstanding support to the Centre Pompidou—the largest museum for modern art in Europe.
We have been a major corporate sponsor of the Museum for over four decades, and since 2023 this also includes live performances, highlighting the power of human expression and shared physical experiences.
And each year, an artwork by the winner of the Fondation Pernod Ricard Prize is purchased by the Group and donated to the Centre Pompidou, providing them with incredible visibility.
Territoires by Mathilde Monnier
A unique opportunity to rediscover the essential repertoire of the French choreographer and the works of the National Museum of Modern Art. Territoires is presented in the form of a wandering encounter with a collection of thirty years of gestures, from the choreographies of Mathilde Monnier, part of which was presented in the Grande Salle, at the Center Pompidou. At his side, his long-time performers, like young dancers to whom these gestures have been transmitted, update them and offer them to the public.
"Territoires forms an anthology in fragments. The version presented at the Center Pompidou brings together around thirty fragments from around twenty pieces. […] It is a way of revealing a collection of gestures within a collection of works of modern and contemporary art." Mathilde Monnier
Through the Villages by Sébastien Kheroufi
Sébastien Kehroufi offers a rereading of the classic by the Austrian writer Peter Handke, which he recontextualises in the cities of the 1990s. Through the Villages presents an artist returning to his native village. A painful homecoming accompanied by a disappearance: that of the rural world he used to know, little by little erased by the plan and the promise of a modern city envisioned by new industrial projects.
"Did I have to run away in order to succeed? Have I betrayed my people? How can I return?" He thus transposes the Austrian author's 1960s village to the 1990s suburb where he grew up.
G.R.O.O.V.E by Bintou Dembélé
Pernod Ricard was a major sponsor for G.R.O.O.V.E choreographed by Bintou Dembélé and presented at the Centre Pompidou in October 2023, the special performance was free and open to everyone.
A major figure in hip hop in France, Bintou Dembélé is a committed artist who creates bridges between cultures, mixing hip hop, krump and contemporary performance.
“I like this idea that the public can move, move around, make noise, express their joy. We all celebrate together, despite everything.” - Bintou Dembélé
Dance4Joy by Maroussia Rebecq
The Pernod Ricard HQ in Central Paris was proud to host in our forecourt “Dance 4 Joy” a unique and collaborative dance performance directed by the talented Maroussia Rebecq, a creative who brings together culture and fashion.
This one-of-a-kind performance created an inclusive and welcoming space, where everyone was encouraged to express themselves freely through movement. The open stage invited dancers from diverse backgrounds and practices to share gestures and rhythms, blending different cultures and experiences into a beautiful artistic patchwork. The result was a powerful, joyful celebration of dance as a universal language that connects us all.
"This performance invites us to explore a new collective narrative where cultural diversity becomes the glue of social cohesion, contributing to the vision of a sustainable and desirable common future for all." – Maroussia Rebecq
