We have always been committed to combating excessive alcohol consumption and recognize that it is our responsibility to play an active role in prevention and to act individually as responsible brand ambassadors. Our commitment

Our global Sustainability and Responsibility platform "Good Times from a Good Place" is divided into four pillars: Nurturing Terroir, Valuing People, Circular Making and Responsible Hosting, which support the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Responsible host

 We fight alcohol abuse and seek to establish, through dialogue with our employees, partners and society, real changes in excessive consumption patterns. Our projects reflect this commitment.

In partnership with SENAC, an educational institution nationally recognized for its technical training, we professionally train adults in socially vulnerable situations as bartenders or waiters.

The difference is that these professionals are also trained in responsible consumption and are ambassadors of the topic in their daily work. The project is in its third edition and has already trained approximately 70 people.

 

Transgarçonne

Transgarçonne

According to data from the UN Brazil website, Brazil is the country that kills most transgender people in the world. As Pernod Ricard is a company genuinely committed to respecting differences, we sponsor the Transgarçonne project, in partnership with UFRJ, one of the largest universities in Latin America, to rescue opportunities for these people through education.

Students are professionally trained as waiters and bartenders, bringing employability to all and influencing diversity throughout our chain. Within the course, we also talk about responsible consumption, in order to train professional ambassadors on this topic.

Pernod Ricard Brasil, together with the “Doses Certas” movement, works to raise awareness about the consumption of alcoholic beverages, having moderation and education as pillars.

The “Alcohol is Alcohol” campaign, whose main objective is to make the population aware of the absolute amount of alcohol consumed per individual in each type of alcoholic beverage, is also a priority.

The “Na Medida” project, a partnership between Pernod Ricard Brasil and Singulares, raises awareness of children and adolescents about the consumption of alcoholic beverages and promotes reflections on various topics. Since 2011, when the project was born, more than 150,000 children and adolescents in 31 municipalities have received critical experiences on the subject.
