Pastis 51 is a Pastis made in Marseille. Created in 1951 by Pernod when the ban on aniseed-flavoured aperitifs was lifted, this classic aperitif quickly became a benchmark in France. Pastis de Marseille (from the Provençal pastisser, meaning ‘to mix’) contains Chinese star anise, aromatic Provençal plants, fennel and liquorice, giving it the light, refreshing taste so dear to the art of Mediterranean living.
